9/09/14 Meeting (P206)
-At our first club meeting, we introduced the idea of creating a "reach, match, and safety' list for college search.
-Jiayuan (PR) showed us her personal list and she went through the list and how she did it in front of the class (Link is down below)
-We talked about upcoming SAT/ACT test dates and when registration for those tests ends.
-Questbridge was introduced; Questbridge is a college-matching program that helps students apply to top-tier colleges through a competition-like process. For more information, please check out www.questbridge.org
-Posse Foundation was also introduced. It is similar to Questbridge but the partner colleges are different. For more information, please check out www.possefoundation.org.
09/16/14 Meeting (Career Center)
-We reminded club members that the October ACT registration period ends this Friday (9/19/14) and that SAT registration is still open.
-Questbridge's deadline is on September 26th, which is next Friday (Homecoming Game/Dance)
-Today, during this meeting, we talked about filling out the "reach, match, and safety" template with Jiayuan reviewing how she did hers. (Template link is down below).
-Club members were encouraged to research about colleges by going on the college's official website.
The next meeting is next Tuesday, September 23rd, in Ms. Bishop's room (P209).
